The 'Kielczowska' multi-family housing complex was thought to fit Kie³czowska Street urban context and the tradition of pre-war social
architecture of Lower Silesia. The form of these buildings is similar to the one of their neighbors' - a simple volume with a pitched-roof
and no eaves. Nine free-standing blocks evenly fill the plot, ensuring its' apartments accurate amounts of light and air-flow
as well as privacy and comfort living among greenery. An inner lane leads towards Kielczowska St.
The decision to use the archetypical form was dictated by both, economic reasons and belief, that it has permanent values, resistant to time
and fashion. The monolithic volumes are broken by cuts of loggias, entrance and roof perforated with different kinds of windows.
Units of this architecturally uniform and homogeneous white complex become easy to identify due to subtle accents of colour
and floral motives on the facades. |
