The aim of the project was to deliver new, better space for pupils of the international school located in the city center on a small plot densely covered with trees. The design is both pragmatic and aesthetic. It saves the space of the small plot by opening the building to the inner court accessible only for the pupils. The court - covered with light, semi-transparent roof is the heart of the building. It is an easily observable, bright area where younger pupils can play or school ceremonies can be held.
Entrance hall, multi-purpose hall and gymnasium are located beneath it. Large skylights and windows provide sunlight to the building's common areas. These spaces are visually connected and the whole building becomes one organism with complex yet legible structure.
The outer skin of the building is meant to be a living organism. Various plants are located on the roof, at the foot of the building and on the facades. Big, randomly located classroom windows and large glass entrance facade are the only significant features of the building leaving it ambient and harmonized with the surrounding greenery.
