The main assumption of the study was buildings' functionality - creating art lab with workshops freely adapting to the artists' needs. Transparency of the building helps to achieve that idea. It ensures optimal, two-sided insulation of all studios and creates ideal exposition for art and the process of formation, establishing connection with the spectator - an accidental passer-by at the same time. Glass facades create optical opening into the existing garden of the Academy. In the effect the interior is being created by light and green. The existing garden was a starting point of the whole project. Its values are significant not only to the Academy, but also to the adjacent Social Square and unique in this part of the city. The designed building of the Academy strictly organizes the existing quarter and surrounds the garden closely. Its clear, solid form becomes the main event of the plot.
